Guess what today is???

This morning when I got to work, I asked my co-workers, "Do you know what today today is?" *Jumping and clapping Alice style* I was very excited!


I saw a few "Do I want to know" faces. Someone asked if it was Robert Pattinson's birthday...I was like, where were you when I announced that last month? It's May 13th. Duh!


Drum roll..."It's my two- year TWI-VERSARY!!!!!"

Reactions were:
Wow! Really??? *sarcasm* *eye rolls*
My God It's only been two years? You have changed a lot in two years.

I have changed a lot in two years!
Sweet innocent Twi-Lin isn't that innocent anymore but I think I'm still sweet! *heehee*

My husband has asked me how a book about an

insecure little girl has made me into a insatiable woman...I'm like it's all about the fanfiction!

I am not going to rehash how Twilight has changed my life because I have blogged about it before...here and here...so enjoy the pictures below:

Twi-Frenzy

The other day I was reading on a group board for submissive women about this term called sub frenzy. Sub Frenzy is defined in the Submissive Guide as: "Sub Frenzy is a state of mind that you may experience at any point in your submission. It is most commonly associated with new submissives, but it can also come about when more seasoned submissives end a relationship or even during a relationship. During submissive frenzy, you may feel a desperate need to have your desires fulfilled. Many of the activities in BDSM can be considered addictive and frenzy is much like a withdrawal stage."

As I was reading through the post I thought about how many of us have or have had Twi-Frenzy. I know I did! I was so obsessed! I couldn't get enough of Twilight, Rob, or Fanfiction!
So I have some questions for you…

• Did you have any twi-frenzy when you were new?
• If so, how did it manifest itself?
• What were your particular symptoms?
• Did you make poor decisions?
• What is your definition of twi-frenzy?
• How long do you think it lasts?
• How can you tell if you are out of it?
• If you've experienced it before, did anyone point it out to you?
• Did you believe them?
• Did it make you rethink and change your behavior?
• Would you share any experiences you've had while in the throes of frenzy?

Here are my answers to the above questions:

• Did you have any twi-frenzy when you were new? Yes

  

  Edward: "Say it...outloud!" Me: "Hi my name is Twi-Lin and I suffer from Twi-Frenzy"

• If so, how did it manifest itself? I have mentioned in a previous post that I was never a reader before Twilight. I read the series in a week and then re-read and read again. I couldn't get enough. Then my daughter told me about fanfiction and that was all she wrote. LOL!
  
• What were your particular symptoms? Daily checking Blogs, Daily Goggling Rob, Going to work late or missing due to staying up all night reading a fanfiction story. I have read 100's of fanfiction stories – I'm a total Fic H00r.

• Did you make poor decisions? I think the poor decisions that I have made were missing work because I was too tired from reading. I wasted a lot of leave time. That was stupid. The story will still be there…or maybe not... it may get pulled so need to read or download it right away!

• What is your definition of twi-frenzy? Being obsessed! When the only thing that consumes your thoughts is something Twilight related.

• How long do you think it lasts? I think I am starting to come out of my frenzy…It's been over a week I can't find a story to read and I'm actually doing other things that I enjoy!

• If you've experienced it before, did anyone point it out to you? All of my non-twi friends and my family.

• Did you believe them? Yes I am totally aware of my obsession.

• Would you share any experiences you've had while in the throes of frenzy? If you read my blog then you already know all of this but because of my frenzy…I went to Forks with the Twitards and have met some amazing women who are my dear friends. I can't wait to see them again this fall. I went to California for Eclipse DVD release @alltwiedup's house and had soooooo much fun! I have gone to two twilight conventions and met several Twilight stars. I went to see some Twilight sets in Vancouver, BC. I have seen 100 Monkeys four times and I'm going to see them twice this summer.

I think in the whole scheme of life being in a Twi-frenzy isn't too detrimental. It's a lot of fun! A nice escape from real life and you get to meet the most awesome people ever!

Master of the Universe Tribute

Warning this post contains spoilers from Master of the Universe and Master of the Universe II by Snowqueens Icedragon.

Last week I received my email notice of the chapter update of MoTU II. I was at work and there was 10 minutes left of lunch break. So, do I start reading the update and stop at 1:00 or do I finish reading it and get back late from lunch. Well, I had to keep reading of course!

I’m reading along it’s a great chapter! Fifty is finally talking. He talks about Mrs. Robinson and Blip. They visit the new house and the meadow. I thought there was going to be some Kinky Fuckery in the playroom but then I read The End! I sat there. I didn’t know how I felt. I can’t believe it ended. Fifty has been a part of my life for a year and half. I didn’t want it to end but I have to say the last sentence was beautiful and perfect “…my Fifty Shades.” *sigh*

Icy has brought to us wonderful characters that we have come to love! We love Edward as Fifty. He is a megalomaniac that you want to hug and make it all better for him. I have wondered if he was real would I love him. Probably not, I would think he was a big ass! I wouldn’t be able to get to know him because he really doesn’t let others in unless I was his Bella.

Icy’s Bella is a beautiful, smart, warm, independent and caring young women. She is perfect for Fifty. They love each other so much.

I Love Fifty too!

This is a great love story! Icy has made me laugh, cry, angry, frustrated, feel love and lust through her words.

I have mentioned this in other blog postings that I know that Fifty is a fictional character but every time I go to Seattle I actually think about him. I always say “Hi, Fifty” in my mind…well sometimes I say it out loud. I know that is crazy but I can't help it. Icy has made him seem so real to me!

If you haven’t read Master of the Universe, I don’t know where you have been…under a rock perhaps? Even my husband has read it and he really liked it.

My favorite quote from the story is from chapter 71:

I think it is funny that my favorite chapter is 50. It is the one with Thomas Tallis’ Spem In Alium playing in the headphones. The music, the blindfold, the flogger! Ugh! I can’t say more!

Last but not least I have to thank Icy for bringing us this epic story! Congratulations on getting Fifty Shades of Grey published. I can’t wait to own the book. I have loved reading the adventure of your Edward and Bella. I have loved their chemistry. I loved their signature lines in the emails. I loved Bella’s smart mouth. Of course I love their Kinky Fuckery but most of all I loved their Love! This story will always have a place in my heart! Thank you!

Water for Elephants Movie Review

~Warning this post contains spoilers~

I can’t believe it has been over a week since Water for Elephants came out and I haven’t written about it. Real Life has been busy! I did see it opening day here and again this past Thursday Night. I loved that at Thursday’s show there was a group from a nursing home there to see the movie. I hope all they enjoyed the movie.

I got all teary eyed at the beginning when Older Jacob, played by Hal Holbrook, picked up the picture of Marlena on top of Rosie and at the end when they showed clips of Jacob and Marlena’s life together. It was really hard to watch when August went into the train car and beat Rosie. They didn’t show the beating but you knew what was happening and heard it. The one thing I wasn’t prepared for was how emotional I was after the movie. I really felt emotionally drained and like I could just go in my room and have a good cry. I still get teary eyed if I think about it.



I'm trying to be unbiased in my review because you know I love Rob! I thought Rob did an outstanding performance. I loved him as Jacob Jankowski. I felt like he owned the role. He is so handsome! *sigh* I was so proud of his performance. I have wanted him to succeed as an actor and I really hope people will see that he can really act! I love that you got to see him smile and laugh. I also love watching Rob with the animals. I  love the interviews when he is talking about Tai aka Rosie. He just lights up. You can tell he is a caring guy!

Christoph Waltz's performance was beyond amazing! He was perfect for his role.

I thought that Reese did a great job too!

If you read the book it filled in some holes/gaps in the movie. I did feel like there was something missing in the love story between Jacob and Marlena. If I had just seen the movie I would be like so they both care for the animals but is that enough to leave your husband and go after the Vet? There were also the side stories of the other characters that weren’t developed because there wasn’t time in a movie.

I do think it is worth paying full price to see in theater. It is a beautiful story!

Chilean Kisses, BDSM Fanfic, & Adorkableness

This past Friday night like most of you, I watched the live stream of MTV First: Robert Pattinson.

They played a clip from MTV's Twilight Tuesdays. This clip was prior to my immersion into the fandom so I hadn't seen it. I totally cracked up at Rob and Kristen's exchange in dialogue. I totally get his humor and I thought his response as "the kiss" being a Chilean kiss was sooooo funny! I was laughing so hard.

K:His teeth are pretty sharp. It's great. I like it. It's cool.

MTV: People are also debating whether Edward and Bella will French kiss.

R: It's more of a Chilean kiss.

K: What's that?

R: That just wasn't funny. Whenever we kiss, I just try to kill her all the time.

K: And I love that. She's a total sadomasochist, if you think about it.

R: And I'm just gay.

K: Or impotent.

I also found a bit of humor in Kristen's response that Bella is a "total sadomascochist" since I have read so many BDSM fanfiction stories. I have to admit that when I first read the Twilight Saga my mind didn't really go to wow these character's would make great D/s characters in fanfiction stories (especially since I didn't know about fanfiction at the time). I can understand how the amazing fanfiction writers used some of Bella and Edward's character traits to write amazing BDSM stories.

My current favorite in progress BDSM story is called Between Pleasure and Pain by sadtomato. Author's Description: Bella's been keeping her kinky fantasies a secret from her husband, Edward. When he finds out about her dark desires, he turns to Carlisle for guidance. Will Carlisle's mentoring help bring E&B closer or drive them apart? BxExC, AH, BDSM, Rated M.

I love that so far it feels pretty real to me the way that Bella feels about exploring her submissive side and her kink. The process of Bella and Edward learning how to separate their D/s relationship from their husband and wife relationship is interesting to read about too. It is really well written and I can so feel the emotions the characters are going through while I am reading. If this kind of story appeals to you then you will not be disappointed with Between Pleasure and Pain.

I know most everyone that loves kinky stories has read Tara Sue Me's The Submissive, The Dominant, and The Training. This trilogy is what introduced me to the world of BDSM fiction. I remember when I first read The Submissive. I was intrigued by someone being willing give up control of their body to someone else and being able to trust them so much that they will not really hurt them but give them what they need and want emotionally and physically.

Another story that I love is Master of the Universe by Snowqueens Icedragon and I know I am not alone in this love. I have to admit I was a bit obsessed with the Edward character of this story. When I would go to Seattle I would think about him. My daughter would make fun of me and tell me, "You know he is not real." I do know that but I would love to give him a hug. He is so wounded that hugs can make it better for a moment. I love the Bella in this story too. She is very strong and independent. She is good for him.

I went to Escala to see if Fifty was home but they wouldn't let me in.

The story has been pulled but I am excited that it's going to be published. It will be called Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James. I like that Edward character's name will be Christian Grey. I don't know why but I feel that is a perfect name for him. I can't wait to read it again in the new format and see what kind of changes are there. I do hope she leaves Echo Charlie's name as Echo Charlie and doesn't change it to Charlie Golf. I know I am a bit strange. We will have to wait until May 26th to see.

When I started writing this post I didn't plan of doing a mini BDSM story review. I wanted share the adorkableness of Rob. Is that why we love him so much? He is so incredibly handsome, smart, funny and of course adorkable.
